What can we learn from the real-life Wendy Rhoades in Billions?

Denise Shull is an ex-trader and performance coach to billion-dollar hedge fund managers. She is the inspiration for the character Wendy Rhoades in the hit series Billions.

In Denise's recent eye-opening interview, she references three critical trading concepts for success.

One. The market is an authority figure

What attracts me and traders to the profession is living life on your terms. Yet, as soon as you engage with the market, success only comes to those who surrender to it. Put another way, the market is your boss, and you do what it says (hence the name Boss Trading).

To learn what the market is saying, develop competency in essential trading skills

Two. You must take a unique approach to trade

Traders are losing because they are using known approaches. There is no edge in doing what everyone else is doing!

Three. Research shows those who know how others behave have the greatest success

Check out my trading from November 15. While introducing a tactic I call "the open road", I identify why traders enter short. These traders are not aware they are about to get burned.

I can experience the feelings associated with the actions losing traders make. I discuss the advantages of these feelings in the footage.
