Inside over outside. How to adapt your trading to market making dominance

By design inside dominance is alluring. But regardless of many qualifying traits of a trade, I need outside sufficient involvement, or I'll get picked off by systematic models intertwined with market makers. 

On a trade by trade basis, success depends on positioning oneself further along the path of competitors' skills and experience. 

During the ebbs and flows of a trading day, my ranking relative to the competition varies. Regardless of skill and experience, traders can't compete directly with the intertwining of market-making and systematic trading.
