Boss Trading—Redefine Your Trading

View Original

Why do you hear traders say 'screen time' matters?

"Watch the ball!"

You're told

on the receiving end of a tennis serve

or protecting the goals from a penalty shot in soccer (football)

But it's not possible.

It happens too quickly.

Instead:

we repeat the activity over and over

processing multiple data inputs.

And with thousands of repetitions gained

your brain improves at forecasting the outcome.

In the case of saving a penalty goal,

maybe it's an awareness of the ball kicker's hips?

A dip of the shoulders?

Or angle of the foot as it makes contact with the ball?

Whatever it is

It's experience gained

over thousands of repetitions

to know what happens next.

And it's no different with trading

taking in many inputs of data

over thousands of hours

creates the experience

to forecast what happens in the next milli-second

But, and this is a BIG but

If you’re only watching price charts

You’re stuck only watching the ball

Why are you not watching multiple data inputs?

So...

it's not total replacement for screen time

But the only shortcut I'm aware of

is trading while watching over the shoulder of an experienced pro

because a professional trader can point out:

  1. All the data inputs to watch

  2. And what otherwise would take you years to see

Like what you’ve learned?
