Having usedI've used NinjaTrader for over 17 years, I've developed a comprehensive understanding of its operation. The OrderFlow+ lifetime plan provides all the necessary tools for professional trading. Importantly, customisation is straightforward, so you can establish a unique configuration helping you to gain an edge over other traders. I recommend NinjaTrader for traders who want to focus on trading rather than the steep learning curves common with professional trading software applications.
Key Features
A stand out feature of NinjaTrader 8 order flow+ (NT) is it's replay and playback function for structured training (think sporting teams reviewing tapes of a recent match). To my knowledge, NT is the only platform that can playback historical market depth.
Support is easy to reach; responses are timely, including the few times an update either to the platform or instrument specifications has lead to a bug that needs addressing.
Implementing on-the-fly template changes is done with ease. Market themes, a source of edge, frequently come and go and template changes are equally frequent.
Options are available to connect to level 2 data providers for unfiltered tick data. NinjaTrader offers its own brokerage for a seamless all-in-one solution. Alternatively, you can trade using NinjaTrader with the likes of Interactive Brokers via the API protocol.
Built-in performance metrics reporting, including in-depth analysis such as Ulcer index, Sortino Ratio, entry and exit efficiency, ETD, MFA, MFE etc

Is it perfect?
I use Gomicators volume profile tools in preference to NT because it provides advantages for observation edges.
I use an elaborate workspace comprising of numerous tools that crunch a significant database of tick data. NT bottlenecks CPU resources on start-up, data connection and playback for several minutes, depending on PC horsepower. Outside of these times, its a non-issue. However for the best user experience, NinjaTrader 8 Order Flow+ is best run on an high powered PC.
