Trading Odds Nobody Notices

"It uses too much mental real estate for too small a move."

To which I replied:

"You're absolutely right - whether it's a learner driver in peak-hour Sydney traffic or trading, many new things are mentally taxing until repetition makes them normal."

But is it?

For context:

  • Time in trade: 90 minutes including the day's trading preparation.

  • Max heat: less than USD 170.

  • Profit after commissions: USD 1,120.

Here's a photo of the executions.

But you can't yet say if it's worth it until you know the mental cost.

That's where the live trading footage comes in.

Why I traded the size I did, why I executed where I did - it's all covered in the footage below.

In truth, it IS too much mental capital until you can do it. This is why I emphasize a repeatable framework and signature trades.

Because when you do the same thing over and over, eventually it becomes automatic.

I don't say to private clients: here's a bunch of market truths, now go work out your own robust framework and playbook trades that work.

It's all provided to you. And if you do it over and over, you get there - especially when feedback is given on what you need to change but can't see for yourself.

The one reason I can do it is because I've done it repeatedly enough.
